Melting temperature and decomposition temperature of the resin
Melting temperature and decomposition temperature of the resin
Powder coating is generally applied to the object to be coated in powder state, and then it must be heated and baked to make the resin in the powder coating melt-leveling to form a film, or melt-leveling curing cross-linking to form a film. If the melting temperature and decomposition temperature of the resin are very close, once the baking temperature is controlled too high, it is easy to decompose the resin in the coating, and it is difficult to obtain a coating film with good appearance and performance. Therefore, the temperature difference between the melting temperature and the decomposition temperature of the resin is greater.
For example, thermosetting resins such as iSuo Chem CPP resins, iSuo Chem Polyamide resin, epoxy resins, polyester resins, polyurethane resins, iSuo Chem acrylic resins, and a considerable portion of thermoplastic resins can also meet this condition. For example, the temperature difference between the melting temperature and the decomposition temperature of the polyvinyl chloride resin is small, and the accuracy of controlling the baking temperature during the coating process is high. Because of the difficulty in controlling the temperature of PVC powder coatings during coating, the development of PVC powder coatings in China has been slow, the production volume is small, and the application area is narrow.
